Accounting Manager

As the Accounting Manager, you will report directly to the controller and will plan and manage accounting activities within the Business Services and Practice Support division of the organization by performing the following duties:

. Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting and/or payroll
. Manages and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
. Manages the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures
. Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, Accounts Receivable, revenue distribution, cost, property and operating expenses
. Performs cost analyses and rate studies
. Prepares monthly financial statements and reports related to revenues and expenses
. Participates in internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
. Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems
. Coordinates preparation of audit materials and financial reporting
. Reviews financial statements with management personnel
. Manages the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess 5 years related Accounting experience, Bachelor`s degree in Accounting, along with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in accounting management required. Strong knowledge of General Ledger Accounting, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Accounting and Database software are essential. Preference will be given to those with health care organization background.
