Sherman Associates is seeking a Director of Accounting and Audit to facilitate the growing needs of our business.

The position’s primary responsibilities include:

- Preparation of property financial statements for the following;
o HUD regulated properties
o Tax credit investment properties
o Office/retail properties
o For Sale residential properties
o Hotel properties
- Facilitation of the corporate financial statement consolidation
- Review of the accuracy and timeliness of audit work papers
- Providing internal audit functions for company-owned hotels
- Providing review and improvement of company internal controls

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Current CPA with 3 years of public accounting experience
- Five + years of real estate accounting experience
- Two + years of hotel accounting and/or hotel audit experience
- Good working knowledge of HUD reporting regulations
- Excellent Microsoft office skills
- Hands on experience with Real Page accounting software a plus
- Three years of supervisory experience
