Description:

The primary responsibility of the Manager Finance is to establish and maintain the organization`s accounting systems, processes, procedures and controls for company Joint Ventures and Retail Operations. The position works with companies that we have joint ventures with to ensure their financial systems are in place to report information to the property and LVSC and this position is also responsible for overseeing the preparation and evaluation of budgets and other financial operating reports, and presenting any findings and recommendations to senior management. This position reports to the VP Finance; Shared Services in Las Vegas.

Qualifications:

Minimum Employment Requirements: 21+ years of age; proof of eligibility to work in the United States; Bachelor`s Degree in Business Administration, Hotel Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred; communicate effectively in English both in oral and written form; interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts; maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to The Venetian standards; and work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Specific Position Requirements:

Candidate must have 4 or more years work experience in accounting or finance related field, preferably in the hospitality industry, with a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience. The individual must have previous experience working in an environment that maintained strong internal controls and reported utilizing US GAAP (CPA preferred) to ensure protection of assets and accurate recording and reporting of business transactions in the financial systems. The individual must possess strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, decision making and problem solving skills to effectively manage the department. The position also requires a pro-active management style that recognizes problems swiftly and looks beyond current practices to develop solutions to maximize the effectiveness of the department. A strong working knowledge of PC computer software programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access or the equivalent), mainframe financial system experience (AS400 and Infinium) and other database software such as Cognos is a plus. Additionally, the individual must possess the ability to read, analyze and evaluate complex financial reports, transactions, correspondence and written material.

Physical ability to access all areas of the property. Must be able to frequently move freely about the office; sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as frequent walking, standing, bending.Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction; work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
