Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant Position – Cleveland, Ohio

We have found two accounting positions for you to consider. These are with Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc, North America`s largest producer of iron ore pellets and a leading supplier of metallurgical coal to the global steelmaking industry. Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc., headquartered in Cleveland, OH, is North America`s largest producer of iron ore pellets and a leading supplier of metallurgical coal to the global steelmaking industry. The majority of our customers are integrated steel companies located within the U.S. and Canada. Right now, we`re looking for experienced accounting professionals who want to be part of a growing company with eyes on the future.
In these positions, you`ll be responsible for:
• Reporting and analyzing financial results of the company
• Preparing financial statements, consolidated statements and schedules
• Making recommendations based on financial records and data
• Reviewing and verifying accuracy and completeness of reported data
• Assisting mine accounting and corporate office personnel in financial matters
• Collaborating with officers, department heads, public accountants, actuaries, insurance providers and vendors
• Maintaining general ledger, accounts payable, allocation, fixed asset and check writing systems
To qualify, you must have:
• Bachelor`s degree in accounting or finance
• ACCOUNTANT: 1-3 year`s experience
• SENIOR ACCOUNTANT: 3+ years` experience
• Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and reporting methods
