Senior Accountant/Analyst
Reports to: CFO
Status: Full Time, Non-exempt
Fast growing financial advisory firm located in San Francisco’s financial district is looking for a hands-on finance professional with a deep understanding of accounting principles to assist the CFO and Controller with a number of projects, including financial modeling, budgets, financial reporting, etc.
The company provides investment and merchant banking services to entrepreneurial companies and investment consulting to high net worth families. It recently established its first private equity fund.

Responsibilities:
* Assist CFO with modeling, daily cash management, and other special projects
*Prepare budgets and internal management reports and provide financial information and analysis
*Assist Controller with accounting and financial reporting for multiple companies, including a private equity partnership
*Prepare audit and tax work papers
*Prepare periodic reports for FINRA and other regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting in a medium or large size company or CPA firm. Ability to think out of the box and to perform complex financial analysis. Experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements and budgets. Strong knowledge of GAAP. Ability to compile, analyze and interpret financial data clearly. Proficiency in business application software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Good written and oral communication skills. Must have a high-level of integrity, sense of creativity, professionalism and good business judgment
